Officers and Trustees
IMIS operates through a series of committees headed by a Council of duly elected Members.
The Council is advised by the executive Secretariat, which oversees the day-to-day administration of the Institute, its member services and the IMIS Examinations Syllabus.

Geoffrey Blackwell BSc MBA FCCA FIMIS - Geoff has been a member of IMIS since 1988 and was admitted to Fellowship in 1999. Initially working on the committee for the East Midlands Region, he moved on to represent the Institute as international training co-ordinator for more than 10 years until family circumstances intervened. He made numerous visits overseas on behalf of the Institute and was instrumental in developing and fostering links with students and trainers, especially in sub-Saharan Africa. Geoff worked as an accountant in practice for more than 20 years mainly acting for SMEs in the IT and Hi-Tech sectors. He moved to Nottingham Trent University in 1994 and taught accounting and information systems at Nottingham Business School until retirement from full-time work in 2006.
Schmidt Shilukobo Chintu BSc(Hons) PhD FIMIS – Has been in the IT teaching industry for more than a decade and became an IMIS member in 1997.
