David Williams

David lives in Dorset and has worked in the IS field since graduating over 35 years ago.
He started in the Army and then became a Civil Servant.
He has written an operating system, been a systems analyst, systems manager, systems designer, lecturer, project manager and an information systems security consultant.
David has been a member of the BSI Standards Committee on Data Communications, representing Britain in the ISO arena, and became a member of the Institute's Standards Committee.
He has also served on the Institute's Audit and Branches Liaison Committees before joining the Chairman's Committee.
David served three years as Chairman of Council as well as being Vice Chairman.
He was a founding committee member of the Wessex Branch.
In addition to being a Fellow of the IMIS he is a Fellow of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, the British Computer Society and the Royal Statistical Society and a Chartered Engineer.
